EECOM is initiating local and global change with a campaign to prevent global warming.
In order to generate a collective impact, individuals across Marin are agreeing to make substantial changes, large and small, in their own daily lives to reduce their own ecological footprint.

Following is a list of individual pledges already made of actions to reduce our local and global impact.

- I'm going to fix up my bike.
- I'm going to drive less often.
- I will buy a Hybrid car.
- I'm not going to drive for 3 months (really!)
- I will buy a hybrid car, recycle more, drive less, and continue being a vegetarian!
- I'm going to replace weather stripping and bring a refillable water bottle
- I'm going to buy fewer products that come with lots of packaging
- I'm going to ride bicycles to school and get solar panels within 5 years.
- I'm going to get my parents to get solar panels for our house.
- I'm going to recycle plastic bottles.
- I will replace all of the compact fluorescent bulbs in my house.
- I'm going to ride my bike more frequently.
- I'm going to ride bikes and teach others how to fix bikes.
- I'm going to teach beauty with youth. Inspire positive action and questioning.
- I'm going to bring energy trackers to all businesses in Aspen and provide them an easy solution.
- I'm going to walk to school. Plant trees.
- I'm going to replace incandescent bulbs with fluorescent. Reduce water heater temperature. I will wash clothes on cold.
- I'm going to promote green building as a lead certified professional.
- I will buy a bike, drive as little as possible and consider all my actions and impacts on the environment.
- I'm going to turn off lights. Put computer on sleep. Share these tips with as many people as possible.
- I will drive less, buy locally, grow more food, and turn off my computer and lights.
- I'm going to use less heat in my house with insulation.

- I'm going to sell my car to buy/convert to a SVO vehicle . . . alternative fuel mission.

- I'm going to convert my '79 VW diesel Rabbit to run on pure vegetable oil!

- I pledge to educate people regarding oil and natural gas reliance.
- As of March 2007, I pledge to commute by bike or foot to work at least 50% of the time and buy enough carbon credits to offset use of personal and business vehicles. I will get certified as a Green Business in Marin.
- I pledge to sign up for an environmental clean-up day and start a Sustainable Twin Cities Chapter.
- I pledge to work collaboratively with all global citizens to create an environmentally sustainable, spiritually fulfilling and socially just planet.
- I already installed double paned windows in my home, switched to fluorescent bulbs and bought low energy appliances. I keep my heat at 58 in the evening and 50 when I'm not home. I planted native plants in my yard. I shop locally at the farmer's market and buy organic. I reuse plastic bags continuously and bring my own bags when shopping. I live and work in the same town and ride or walk to work/errands every day. I combine my driving trips into as few as possible. I turn my shower off in between washing and rinsing and wash my clothes in cold water.
- I will install energy efficient light bulbs through the whole house.
